Experienced Accountant – Accounting Associate

US Based Part Time (30 Hours Per Week) – Remote, Flexible Schedule (within business hours of 8am-6pm EST) $29-$32 per hour

Responsibilities vary by client and include:

  • Exceed client expectations by delivering accurate, timely financial info
  • Perform full cycle cash and accrual basis accountingincluding managing a/r, a/p, payroll and monthly close.
  • Utilize cloud-based technologies such as QBO, BILL, Gusto, Ramp and Keeper.app
  • Assist with onboarding new clients and account cleanup.
  • Tackle challenging tasks such as creating and maintaining complex revenue recognition schedules and reconciliations.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in accounting technology.
  • Participate in team and one-on-one meetings and training sessions.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Must live in the US
  • Minimum of an Associate degree in Accounting or Business
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive General Ledger accounting experience
  • Proficiency with Excel is a must. Advanced Excel skills (Power Query and/or Power BI) a plus
  • Experience with Google Workspace, Google Sheets
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online (required)
  • Quickbooks Pro Advisor or Quickbooks Pro Advisor Level 2 certifications (preferred)
  • Experience with Google Workspace, Google Sheets
  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving technology environment
  • Experience with Double (formerly Keeper) ShareFile, Google Workspace, Asana, Slack, BILL, FinOptimal, Right Tool, Fathom reporting or other FP&A software and Ramp is a plus
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Experience and desire to manage multiple clients simultaneously
  • Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment and the ability to pivot as needed
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A dedicated office space that has a reliable, high-speed internet connection
  • Must be able to maintain a professional and distraction-limited work environment during scheduled work hours and meetings
